Can anybody tell me if the Firestorm brand cordless drills are any good?

I see that they have an 18 volt kit that comes with the drill, circular saw , 2 batteries,a charger and a worklight for $100.00 Is this a good deal or not. I know that Lowes carrys this brand and that it is made by Black and Decker.
Thanks Jared

Is it safe on my tools if I’m using the same battery charger for 2 different brands of cordless drills?

I have a black & decker and a skill. Both 9.6v. The batteries look identical except for the name of course. Is it safe to use a charger from one or the other instead of 2 differant chargers? Will it be safe to use the batteries in the opposite drill?

Why do cordless drills vary so much in price?

I was looking at an 18V Cordless Drill for my husband, but I don’t know what kind to buy. Some are only $30.00 and others are $200.00. What is the difference? It looks like most of them come with 2 batteries and a carring case. I’m really confused. Any suggestions???By: Stacy MaeAbout the Author:

Are dewalt drills as good as they they say? Esp’ the cordless ones?

Thinking about buying a cordless hammer drill. I need one that will last and have good battery life. Dewalt seem very expensive, are they worth the money. The DC988 is advertised alot. Looking for at least a 14.4v or 18v model. Any experience or comments welcome.By: fluffAbout the Author:

Can you leave cordless drill/driver plugged in for long extended periods?

I would like to buy a cordless drill/driver but would not be using on a regular basis (well… most of the time… infrequently). Would that do damage to the rechargeable batteries? Would it be better to only charge prior to when I know I will be needing to use it?
Any insight would be helpful. [...]
