About

Hi my name is Quinton Stenson and I’m the webmaster at 18vcordlessdrills.com.
I’ve been in the building industry for as long as I remember which is about 45 years, which I’m sure you’ll agree is a fair bit of experience. I've been using power tools for a fair bit of that time. I've worked as a bricklayer, carpenter, aluminium window and door fitter, in fact looking back I must have had a go at everything at one time or another. Before cordless drills came out I remember those ratchet screw driver things that we used to use to tighten screws. They were a push type of thing with a spiral groove, so that when you pushed against the screw it turned it in any direction you wanted. It was pretty awkward although with some effort they got the job done. I'm not sure if they still make those things, I have a feeling that they do. I've an idea that Stanley still comes out with them. I guess in some situations, tight corners etc. they'd still get you out of trouble. When cordless-drills first came out, it was in the early ’80s,  they were like a godsend. My first one was a Makita, I think it was a 7 volt, I paid about $AU6o for it and it sure paid for itself ten times over. Of course over the years cordless drills have improved no end. The batteries last a lot longer and they have lot’s more torque and features.

So take a brouse through some of the cordless drills that we have for sale. The choice is very wide and I’m sure no matter what your looking for, either a cheap cordless drill to use on some handywork at the weekend or a quality machine that’s going to last you a lifetime, you’ll find it somewhere within these pages.

Have fun

Quinton
